LinkUp, the global leader in delivering job market data to corporations and investment firms, announced that it has sold Getwork, its wholly-owned recruitment advertising company, to smarter job search engine Adzuna. The sale of Getwork allows LinkUp to focus entirely on strengthening its market leadership in its core data business.

The Getwork team, led by President Brad Squibb, will work alongside Adzuna’s international team covering 20 countries, bringing together decades of job search expertise and accelerating Adzuna’s growth in North America. Getwork and Adzuna will continue to operate as independent brands with their own established communities of jobseekers.

“Given the strength of Adzuna’s global business, combined with their vision to accelerate growth in North America through Getwork, we couldn’t have imagined a better outcome from our process. We look forward to watching the success of Adzuna and Getwork in the years ahead, and we’re equally as excited to now be in a position to concentrate our efforts entirely on strengthening our position as the leading provider of job market data to the capital markets, corporations, and the human capital management industry.”
Toby Dayton
CEO, LinkUp

Founded in 2000 as a multi-media recruitment advertising company, LinkUp emerged as a leading pay-per-click job search engine and employment data company following the Great Recession. As its data business quickly expanded beyond the human capital management industry, LinkUp leveraged its high-quality, real-time, and predictive data to become an early leader in the emerging, rapidly growing alternative data industry. The company spun out Getwork in 2021 as a wholly-owned subsidiary, formally separating its recruitment advertising business from its core job market data business.

Alexis Kalmanovitz and Chris Fong at Zelig Associates served as financial advisors and Brian Burke at Dorsey & Whitney served as legal advisor to LinkUp on the transaction.
